Venezuela's Political Disaster - March 19, 2008

Dear Journalists,
Free Tibet - http://www.freetibet.org/

Venezuelans are enjoying the Holy Week (Easter) holiday, and most of them are away at the beach or elsewhere. The following is link to article "Hablaron los pueblos: ¡paz sin fronteras!" written by Ambassador Adolfo Taylhardat reporting about the peace concert held last weekend in the frontier of Colombia and Venezuela. The fact is that most Venezuelans have a good friendship, and brotherhood with Colombians, and Chavez's wacky and deranged behavior is totally unacceptable to the majority of Venezuelans:

Observing the situation in Venezuela from abroad is well-followed by all the press articles, e-mails, phone calls, instant messages, etc. However, I was outraged to witness a Chavez supporter in Washington, DC, last week insulting an honorable speaker at the Cato Institute. Sadly, that type of infamous behavior of hate, lack of respect, and abuse is what Chavez has taught those who do not know any better.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

Cordially,

Maru Angarita
