Venezuela's Political Disaster - July 19, 2008

Dear Journalists,

Venezuelans marched today in Caracas protesting against kidnappings as reported in the following link:

http://www.eluniversal.com/2008/07/19/pol_ava_nueva-conciencia-nac_19A1812799.shtml

There is a similar march scheduled tomorrow in Bogota, Colombia organized by Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos as announced in his Facebook group:

Venezuela has a new Ambassador to the Organization of American States. Hopefully, the political disaster may dissipate with new educated leadership as previously reported on my blog on April 19:

Ambassador Roy Chaderton Matos Presents Credentials as Permanent Representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the OAS

Just a rumor

There is a rumor circulating the Internet that infamous Chavez has an audited $3 billion in cash in foreign accounts. Hummm, and I was wondering about what is his assigned salary as infamous president of abused Venezuela.

List of Chavez's gifts to foreign leaders, etc.

Dear Journalists,

As stated on my posting dated July 15, 2008, it is outrageous that while there are many Venezuelans struggling financially, and citizens suffering all sorts of government abuses, and unfair treatment, the following is a list of some of Chavez's gifts to foreign countries:

Venezuela's Political Disaster - July 15, 2008

Dear Journalists,

While Venezuelans are suffering huge inflation, inability to trade because of blocks from infamous Chavez's government services like "Comision Administrative de Divisas" (Cadivi
http://www.cadivi.gov.ve/), and other financial abuses, Chavez donates to families in Washington, D.C. energy saving light bulbs as reported in the following link:

http://www.noticias24.com/actualidad/?p=15997

The Noticias 24 article informs that Chavez's donations to the poor in other countries exceed US$100M. Just imagine how many hospitals could be built in Venezuela with 100 million dollars, how many families could be helped out of financial despair, and/or how many single mothers could have financial aid for their children's education with the same amount of money.

Chavez has to assure the well being of Venezuelan citizens, and then donate to the poor as needed.

Venezuelans need help from developed governments and international organizations to restore democracy and end corruption.

Cordially,

Winning the war against FARC

Winning the war against FARC

By Diego Arria & Richard Brand

Monday, July 14th 2008, 4:00 AM

This month's spectacular rescue by Colombian commandos of 15 hostages cast an international spotlight on the miseries inflicted by the terrorist group responsible for the kidnappings, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC.

Much of the FARC's strength is derived from its protection of an illicit narcotics trade which channels cocaine to North American communities. But the recent hostage rescue has also drawn attention to the real role played by Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez in using the FARC to destabilize the government of Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, his regional archrival.

Venezuela's Political Disaster - July 13, 2008

Dear Journalists,

Congratulations to Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza. for winning the Miss Universe 2008 contest held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

http://www.noticias24.com/gente/?p=3184
http://www.globovision.com/news.php?nid=93011

It was interesting to watch Miss Colombia, and Miss Venezuela as the finalists. Because of the achievements of the Colombian government to enforce democracy, I would have also cheered for Miss Colombia if she had won. Miss Venezuela's family were unable to travel to Vietnam and they stated personal reasons kept them from joining their daughter at this event. Humm, I wonder if infamous Chavez's government services like "Comision Administrative de Divisas" (Cadivi
http://www.cadivi.gov.ve/) blocked the parents from attending the contest.

Colombian President Uribe and infamous Chavez met in Venezuela as reported by the following press links:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2008/07/13/PH2008071300513.html

As expected Chavez is behaving like his infamous self, and Weil cartoonist may have the best cartoon of all:
